I have 20 years of professional experience working with individuals of varying abilities, from preschool through adulthood. My background as a teacher and Program Specialist includes not only teaching essential skills to children and adults but also training parents and staff to effectively teach these skills at home, in schools, and within the community.
If you have a child, student, or individual who may need additional support in developing Foundational Learning Skills (FLS) or more advanced secondary goals, I can help you learn how to teach these skills effectively and efficiently.

Julie A. Williams, MAT, M.S., CPBA-AP

Practical Solutions for behavior and instruction LLC, Founder/Consultant

Originally from Western New York, I currently live in Newport Beach, California. I am married, have three adult children, and a dog. My oldest daughter, who has Spina Bifida, inspired me to pursue a career in special education. After her birth, I returned to school and completed a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Buffalo State College. After relocating to Southern California, I attended National University, where I earned my credential to teach students with moderate/severe disabilities. I then completed a Master of Arts in Teaching with a specialization in Autism, followed by a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis. Most recently, I became credentialed by progressivebehavioranalyst.org as a Certified Progressive Behavior Analyst – Autism Professional.
I began my teaching career in 2006 as an intern, working as a special education teacher in an Autism-specific special day class for grades 1st-3rd. I taught for eight years before advancing to the position of Program Specialist, where I oversaw Autism programming for the SELPA and districts.
For the past twelve years, as both a teacher and Program Specialist, I had the privilege of receiving intensive training and monthly consultations from an agency the district contracts with. This agency, www.autismpartnership.com, provided me with invaluable insights and the opportunity to learn from those who I believe are the best in the field.
My mission is to share the knowledge and experience I’ve gained to help individuals of all abilities reach their full potential. I am passionate about training parents and professionals to effectively support individuals who have deficits in Functional Life Skills (FLS) and struggle to acquire more advanced secondary skills, with a strong emphasis on fostering independence.
